Post an event
Criteria for events listed on the MTLCHORAL calendar:
must be in the Montreal Metropolitan area (island of Montréal, Laval, South Shore)
must be at least 50% choral in terms of the music performed
to be considered “choral”, the group must have at least 4 singers singing simultaneously.
a cappella groups are welcome to post their events, regardless of the number of singers.
must be open to the public (not a private event)
* Vocal events (solo, duet, etc.) with instrumental accompaniment are not considered choral events and should not be posted.
This site allows for free publication of events. Its legitimacy depends on the honesty and accuracy of the event forms filled out by its member groups. Please respect the criteria listed above to help ensure the longevity of this site. If an event is cancelled, please delete the calendar listing as soon as possible.
Posting an event
Step 1 - Requesting access :
Log into a personal or the group’s Google account. Unfortunately, only “gmail” addresses can be used to fill out the form.
Click on the "Post an Event" button below to open the MTLCHORAL event creation form.
To maintain the legitimacy of this calendar and its choral members, please provide the following information to authenticate your choir in the box labeled "Message" on the access request page:
Name of the group
Name of the choir director
Year the group was founded
Most recent event (name, location, link to the event, etc…)
Click on the “request access” button and the application shall be reviewed as quickly as possible.
Step 2 - Submitting the form :
Once MTLCHORAL has approved your request for access, you will receive an email from mtlchoral@gmail.com (via Google Forms) sharing access to the event form.
Copy the link in that email, or save the email, because the same link can be reused over and over again for all future events. No further access will need to be requested for that particular email address.
Complete and submit the form to post the event to the calendar. The information will automatically generate a listing on the MTLCHORAL calendar.
Repeat these steps once for each subsequent event
*If an entry needs to be deleted, please see the steps below.
**Entries cannot be modified. So if a form was incorrectly filled out, the event should be deleted and then re-created.
